How to Check Where My Discord Account Is Logged In
The option to check where you have logged in to Discord is available on the Discord web app, desktop app, and even on the Discord mobile apps. Let’s start with the web and desktop apps.
Check Logged In Devices on Web and Desktop Apps
The process of checking where your Discord account is logged in is the same on both the desktop and web app.
- Open the Discord web app or the native desktop app of Windows, macOS, or Linux. Log in to the service if not logged in already.
- Now click on the cog icon at the bottom left corner beside the username to open the Discord user settings.
- In the User settings, select the Devices option in the left sidebar.
- On the Devices page, you should find all the devices that are currently logged in to your Discord account. Under every device, you should find its operating system, web app or system app, location, and last used time.
- If you want to log out of any of the devices, just click on the cross icon beside that device name.
- In the pop-up, enter your Discord account password and click on the Next button.
- If you have enabled 2-factor authentication for your account, you also need to enter the 2FA code. Once done, click on the Next button to log out of that specific device.
- To log out of the current device, scroll down on the left sidebar and select the Log out option. In the pop-up, just click on the Log Out option to log out of the current device instantly.
- You can choose to log out of all the devices by clicking on the Log Out All Known Devices button at the bottom of the Devices page. You will be asked to enter the Discord password and two-factor authentication code to log out of all the accounts too. If you find any unknown device that you don’t recognize, it’s a good idea to change your Discord password and log out of all the devices. That way, you can protect your account from potential hacks. To change Discord account password, go to User settings > My Account and click on the Change Password button.
On Android and iOS Apps
Just like the web app and desktop apps, the process is similar on both Android and iOS apps too.
- Open the Discord app on your phone. If you haven’t installed it, you can install the app from the Google Play Store on Android and Apple App Store on iPhone. Also, log in to the service if you haven’t already.
- Now tap on the profile icon at the bottom right corner. On the profile page, tap on the Devices option.
- Here you should see all the devices that you have logged into Discord currently. To remove any of the devices, just tap on the cross icon beside that device.
- In the pop-up, enter the password and then enter your 2-factor authentication code if you have enabled it. Once done, just tap on the Next button to log out of that specific device instantly.
- To log out of the current device, get back to the profile page and scroll down to the Account section. Under it, tap on the Log out option and tap Log out in the pop-up to confirm.
- To log out of all the devices, on the Devices page, scroll down and tap on Log Out All Known Devices option. In the pop-up, enter the Discord password and then 2-factor authentication if you have enabled it. Just like the desktop, if you have found any unknown device that you are not sure about, it’s a good idea to change the Discord password and log out of all the devices. You can change the password by opening the profile page > Account > Password. Here you should be able to change the password.
Finally, We Have A Solution
Not being able to check where you have logged in to your Discord account was a major security flaw for many years. Now with the Devices update, we can check all the devices we have logged our account in. Apart from that, it also provides the option to remotely log out on any device or even all the devices in one go. To improve your security, use 2-factor authentication on Discord. As a pro tip, make sure to note down the backup codes, so you can log-in to Discord without the verification code.
