There was only a minuscule proportion of users who were still stuck with 3G. Owning to economies of scale, cost incurred and other related factors, there wasn’t much for the carrier services to keep n supporting the 3G spectrum. Hence they gave those users a time period to jump over to 4G/5G before turning off the support of 3G. This was the case with AT&T as well, who finally decided to cut the call on 3G in the month of February this year. However, many users have voiced their concern that as soon as AT&T disabled 3G, they had to face the repercussions on their 4G devices as well.
According to them, they are no longer able to place or receive VoLTE/HD calls on their AT&T devices. They have also added that day the 3G connection was bid adieu was the exact day they started facing this issue, thereby signaling that disabling 3G might be the culprit.
